Wheel flange lubrication OK-02 is designed to lubricate wheel flanges on locomotives equipped with their own compressed air source and distribution. The system features the principle of applying air/grease mixture to the contact areas of the wheel flanges and the rails. A controlled amount of the mixture is sprayed constantly during a greasing cycle onto the lubrication point of the wheel flange. The lubrication system may be equipped with grease level signalisation and circuit blow-cleaning function for longer vehicle down-times.

The OK-02 lubrication systems are manufactured in a number of type variants, suitable for installation both into the vehicle bogie or inside the vehicle, within its engine compartment.

The system operation control and monitoring is carried out in several ways – using the vehicle’s master control system, by automated control via a dedicated track curve detecting sensor, or via smart adaptive control performed by a GPS system according to the ambient conditions and the track characteristics.

The wheel flange lubrication system only allows using biodegradable grease intended for total-loss wheel flange lubrication.
